All creams and lotions are made by combining an oil with water, using an emulsifier to create an emulsion. This is the foundation of the product, something that is foremost in how it works and feels. Extra Virgin Skin is unique in that we use Extra Virgin Olive Oil (EVOO) exclusively in creating this emulsion. Other brands either use lesser imported oils or fractionated oils in this process.
Our formulas are based on extensive experience in the olive oil industry. Without this knowledge, using EVOO in this way wouldn’t be possible. Only a specific variety works for the process, and this varies each year depending on environmental factors. All of this is to create a better skincare product from the ground up!
