Leonardo Dicaprio's documentary, "Before the Flood," was a changing point for our founders. It linked the skincare industry's dependency on palm oil derivatives to the clearcutting of Malaysian rainforests like the Leuser Ecosystem.

With this "changing point," Carolïna and Jack embarked on a new journey with Extra Virgin Skin. They identified which type of ingredients caused the most harm and pushed for industry supply chain change. It was not an easy journey, and still, today, few brands have followed.
